Lest We Forget...

I was driving home this past lunch hour and thought about all the things I have to do this week. It’s going to be crazy but great. With Remembrance Day tomorrow I thought about all the things I could get done around my house. Then something dawned on me… I have forgotten the sacrifice so many people have made for my country and my freedoms. Have we become a nation that takes this for granted? I often look at the United States in this area and feel ashamed that we don’t take more time to honour our past and present day troops. Driving home today at lunch I thanked God for the individuals who lay their life on the line for me daily in distant places for my freedom and the freedom of others. So while I get some things done around the house tomorrow, I will be taking the time to pause at 11 a.m. to remember, reflect and thank God for people who have laid it on the line for something they believe in…Our Country… I hope you do the same…
