The Gift of the ‘Church’

Please don’t stop reading because of the title of this particular blog. I recognize there are many different connotations that come to people’s minds when they hear the word ‘church’. That word, for some people, carries baggage with it, mostly unwanted. That’s very sad and that reality deeply disappoints God, because sometimes those in leadership in local churches have not represented Christ very well. The Feeling of Freedom

I was thinking about the feeling of freedom last evening after watching the news about Amanda Knox. You probably are aware of who she is – the young adult from Seattle who was in prison for 4 years in Italy during the court case relating to her charge of murder. She was found not guilty and returned home to the United States on October 4, 2011. Whether she is innocent or guilty, the feeling of freedom must be a good one for her.
