I’m sure I don’t have to convince you that many people wrestle with big questions and serious concerns about Christianity. They have significant doubt about the bible being a supernatural book given to us directly from God. They struggle, and many times choose not to believe that Jesus is God, even though He personally claimed to be. They pose questions that you may find challenging to respond to. Questions like, “If Jesus is the only way to heaven, what about all those who have never heard about him?” Or a question like, “If God is a God of love, then why all the pain and suffering in our world?”

Sometimes questions like these can be a ‘smokescreen’ for people in an attempt to keep distance between them and Jesus and His gospel. In other words, if Jesus IS God, they know it will require a big decision from them regarding whether they will surrender their life to Him or not. Other times they are genuine questions from someone who is sincerely seeking answers to life.

For those of us who are Christ-followers, there is no short cut to being equipped to be able to respond well to these important questions. It takes reading and knowing God’s word (the bible). It will also take further reading and study. Books like ‘The Case for Faith’ and ‘The Case for Christ,’ by former atheist Lee Strobel, are a good place to start.

To be prepared to share your faith in Jesus effectively in this culture, I also recommend the website

Reasonable Faith.org.. This website has many great resources. At this website you can also currently find great courses that you can take. I encourage you to explore their new ‘Equip’ courses by clicking on the big banner/heading: ‘Know Why You Believe and Why You Believe It.’ It will take you to Know Why You Believe.org. That website says, “No time limits. No fees. No pressure.” Investing the time in this type of study will not only prepare and equip you for responding well to difficult questions people ask, but it will also help you solidify your faith in God, in the trustworthy nature of the bible, and in the deity of Jesus Christ.

Let me know how it goes for you.
