FAQ's | Why is making friends harder than talking to a robot? | 180 Youth

Making friends shouldn’t feel this hard… but for a lot of students, it does.

This week at 180 Youth, we’re creating space to talk about it. Why does it sometimes feel easier to open up to a screen than to a real person? Why do we crave connection but struggle to find it?

We’ll explore what real community looks like, why it matters, and how we can begin building genuine friendships in a world that often pushes us toward isolation. It’s going to be an honest, encouraging night where students can feel seen, understood, and reminded that they’re not alone.

Life doesn’t really slow down anymore.

There’s always something—another assignment, another practice, another shift at work, another notification, another video to watch. Before you know it, the day’s over and time with God just… didn’t happen.

This week at 180 Youth, we’re creating space to talk about that. Are we actually too busy, or just constantly distracted? And what would it look like to live differently?

It’s going to be an honest, refreshing night with real ideas for how to make space for God in the middle of real life.
