We have Sunday Morning Programming for Grade 1 - 6
We have a great team of dedicated volunteers ready to tell stories, sing songs, play games and share the love of Jesus with your child.
Check In
There are two check-in stations. One in the office lobby and the other in the downstairs lobby by the children’s ministries classrooms. These stations have iPads where you type in your phone number to access and it will bring up your family information and you check-in the child (children) who will be attending kids church today. A name tag printed out for each child along with a “Pick Up Tag”. Please have your child wear their name tag and hold on to the “Pick Up Tag” as that you will be asked for it at check out. There is a cubby in this foyer for you to put their coat.
Once you have checked-in and have your name tag and “Pick Up Tag” you can bring your child straight to their classroom each week except the first Sunday of the Month. The first Sunday of the Month is our Family Gathering where the children Grades 1 to 6 begin the morning by sitting with their families in the Auditorium. They participate in the worship, communion and other parts of the Sunday Morning Gathering and then they are dismissed to head downstairs for their class. It is a wonderful time for children to grow in their faith as it is modelled not only by their parents but by other grown ups in the church family.
Check Out
When you come to pick up your child, please have your “Pick Up Tag” ready. The leader at the door will call your child to begin the sometimes slow process of getting your child ready to go home and scan their name tag for check out.
Keep in mind:
Only preauthorized people are able to pick up your children
Only people 16+ can be preauthorized to pick up your children
By default the parents are the only authorized people for pickup. To add additional people such as grandparents, aunts & uncles, or family friends, please ask Pastor Charity for the Additional Authorized Pickup People Form.
Check Out
Parents are asked to come in one door of the Multipurpose Room and leave through another. There are signs to help lead the way. This helps our team to keep track of all the children so none leave the secure area without a parent. If you have preschool children we ask that you pick them us first.
When you come to pick up your child, please have your “Pick Up Tag” ready. The leader at the door will let you into the room so you can find your child. Once in the room you have found your child feel free to stick around in the Multipurpose room for a while and let your children play at the activity tables. This is a great place for parents to meet each other while their children bond over similar activities.
When you are ready to leave, or it is clean up time. Please head over to the leader at the Multipurpose Room Exit, where you will hand over the “Pick Up Tag”. The leader will want to compare it to your child’s name tag. We have a Name Tag Ball where we invite your child to put their name tag at the end of the day. We do this for three reasons. One: Kids find it fun, two: we love to watch it grow each week and three: It helps us to see the name tag which has the matching number to the parents tag
