Women's Evening of Serving

Time: Punch/Coffee 5:30 pm and then Dinner: 6:00 pm
Location: Eaglemont Christian Church
Cost: $20 a person
Ladies ages 16 and older, please join us for an evening of food, fellowship, and serving. The evening begins at 5:30 pm for punch & coffee, then a soup and salad dinner, followed by your choice of activity. Each activity is an opportunity to create gifts and cards for people in our community. Thanks for helping us love our neighbors in Beaumont and the surrounding area during this Christmas season.
We will also be accepting donations of home baked Christmas Cookies to distribute to community leaders in Beaumont. If you would like to donate cookies, but aren't planning to attend the event, please email Kerry at klmderdall@gmail.com
Serving Options:
1. Assemble and write homemade Christmas cards to give to neighbors of Eaglemont Church and various community leaders such as: the RCMP, Firefighters, the Mayor’s Office, and School Leaders.
This option will also include assembling approximately 60 gift bags with chocolates and ornaments to gift to neighbors of Eaglemont Church
2. Work with a partner to create No Sew Fleece Blankets for people living with Dementia in Beaumont. No sewing experience is necessary and a demonstration of how to create the blankets will be given.
3. Make a homemade wreath to gift to the seniors centre in Beaumont and bring some Christmas cheer into their lives and home.
4. Write Christmas cards for inmates. Cards will be provided.
This activity will also include sorting cookies that are donated (optional sign up to bring cookies is included in the sign up form below) into Cookie Boxes that will be distributed to community leaders such as the RCMP, Firefighters, the Mayor’s Office, and School Leaders.
5. Paint a Winter/Christmas Watercolor Painting
This option will be for ladies who are comfortable painting without instructions.
The paintings will be mounted onto a larger sheet of paper and laminated.
They will be donated to people living with Dementia in Beaumont to bring some Christmas cheer to their dining room area
Registration opens on November 2 and closes on November 17
