A Random Acts of Kindness Christmas

This women’s event (ages 16 and older) is an opportunity to gather, build meaningful connections, and work together on a larger project that will demonstrate love and care for our neighbours. Dress casually for this fun event!
Time: Punch/Coffee 5:30 pm and then Dinner: 6:00 pm. Following dinner, each participant will join others to work on the activity they selected in advance, combining their time and talents to make a meaningful difference in our community.
Location: Eaglemont Christian Church
Cost: $20 a person
Serving Options:
1) Make a Pie to Give Away
Monique will provide instructions on how to make a pie and each person will create a fruit pie to give away to someone they know would be blessed by the gift. Alternatively, if you would prefer, the pie can be left at the church to be donated to someone we know would appreciate it.
2) Assemble and Write in Cards for Eaglemont Neighbors and Community Leaders
Assemble homemade cards for a neighbor of Eaglemont Church (homes behind the church) and/or community leaders in Beaumont. Pieces for making the cards will be cut and ready to assemble. Cards will be delivered to the recipients with a small gift.
3) No Sew Fleece Blankets for Hope Mission
Work with a partner to create a No Sew Fleece blanket that will be gifted to Hope Mission in downtown Edmonton
4) Sew Flannel Hearts for Babies in the NICU
If choosing this option, please bring your own sewing machine. Using an assembly line of volunteers, your task will be the sewing part of the project. The hearts are worn by the parents and then left with the babies to promote bonding between babies and parents
5) Trace, Cut, and Pin Flannel for Flannel Hearts for Babies in the NICU
Using an assembly line of volunteers, your task will be the non sewing part of the project (tracing hearts, pinning material, cutting out heart shapes etc.) The hearts are worn by the parents and then left with the babies to promote bonding between babies and parents.
6) Packing Care Packages for Residents at the Mustard Seed and Packaging Cookies for Schools and Community Leaders
7) Paint a Design on Cards With Watercolor Paints
Paint a design on watercolor paper that will be used as a Christmas card in our Christmas Hampers that Pastor Joel distributes to residents of Beaumont. This option is for ladies who are comfortable drawing and painting without instructions.
We will also be collecting donations of boxes of cereal for The Father’s House Breakfast program and donations of homemade nut free cookies for the staff at each school in Beaumont and Beaumont Community Leaders
Registration opens November 2 and closes November 22.
